The challenge
Thermen Bussloo was looking to enhance the atmosphere and visual cohesion in the long corridor connecting the hotel to the wellness resort. While the illuminated nature murals provided a solid foundation, the corridor did not yet feel like a unified experience. The goal: a warm, inviting walkway that immediately immerses guests in the calming atmosphere of the resort. In addition, several wellness areas called for a fitting accent—floral arrangements that make an impression while complementing the serene surroundings.
The plan
Thermen Bussloo’s impressive golden planters served as the starting point for the design. By filling them with silk blossom branches in subtle gradients of white, soft pink, and deep red, we created a direct visual connection to the backlit nature panels along the walls. The repetition of the planters brings rhythm, balance, and tranquility to the long corridor.
For the relaxation rooms, we designed fuller bouquets that harmonize with the natural timber walls and muted tones. In a wellness environment, high-end silk floral styling offers essential practical benefits: it requires no natural daylight or watering, maintains its refined quality continuously, and is low-maintenance.
The execution
True bespoke styling comes to life within the space itself. Our floral stylist Marion carefully pre-selected the stems, branches, and materials before travelling to Bussloo with a fully equipped van.
On site, she built each blossom tree directly inside the planters. Working on location allowed her to tailor the volume, shape, and height of each arrangement precisely to the corridor’s sightlines and dimensions. The arrangements in the relaxation rooms were also composed on site, striking an optimal balance between visual presence and understated calm.
The result
The connecting corridor between the hotel and the wellness facilities has been transformed into a seamless experience. The silk blossom ties the golden planters together with the illuminated wall features, bringing warmth and softness to the transition area. The flowing colour palette naturally guides guests on their way to relaxation.
In the quiet rooms, the fuller bouquets add warmth and character, perfectly aligning with the interior and the restful atmosphere during treatments and sessions. A sustainable, custom styling solution that elevates the guest journey without the daily upkeep of fresh flowers.
