The challenge

Kracht Recruitment is located in a large industrial building where concrete, steel and dark tones dominate the interior. The spacious layout and robust architecture give the building a strong character, but also made the space feel cool and distant. The request was to introduce greenery that adds warmth and softness, without compromising the industrial identity. In addition, Kracht was looking for a bespoke solution that would enhance the entrance area and improve the overall experience for both visitors and employees.

The plan

The design focuses on material expression and natural forms, carefully scaled to suit the size of the building. At the heart of the plan is a large bespoke planter made from reclaimed timber. By milling the Kracht Recruitment logo directly into the wood, the planter becomes a recognisable feature that seamlessly connects with the brand identity. The planting scheme is layered, using urban jungle species in varying heights and leaf structures. This creates a lively yet calm composition that brings balance to the surrounding concrete and steel. Robust Oyster planters and subtle moss walls are distributed throughout the building, strengthening the natural atmosphere and visually linking different areas.

The execution

The bespoke planter was measured on site and built by Imago Interieurbouw. The use of reclaimed wood gives the design a tactile, lived in quality that complements the raw concrete structure and wooden accents within the interior. The planting was carefully selected and positioned with attention to light conditions, sightlines and scale, ensuring each plant contributes to the overall spatial experience. In the entrance area, the planter also improves privacy and guides movement through the space. The Oyster planters and moss walls act as calm, natural accents that bring balance to the interior as a whole.

The result

The interior of Kracht Recruitment now feels warmer, more inviting and visually engaging. The greenery softens the hard materials, introduces rhythm into the space and enhances the everyday experience of employees. The bespoke planter has become a defining feature within the office. Its impact was so positive that Kracht commissioned four additional planters in the same style, each featuring their core values. A clear confirmation that the design does exactly what it is meant to do: strengthen character, enhance atmosphere and allow greenery to function as a meaningful part of the organisation’s identity.
