The challenge
How do you bring more atmosphere, experience and a natural look to an indoor shopping centre? Woonhart Zoetermeer wanted to make the central area more attractive to visitors – with a warmer atmosphere and an inviting place to relax.
The plan
Together with the client, we chose a combination of tropical planting and integrated seating – designed to let visitors experience nature and encourage them to pause for a moment. Bohemian style elements enhance the warm ambience and reflect the identity of the shopping centre.
The execution
In the heart of the passage, we installed custom-made planters with built-in seating. These were planted with a tropical mix of vibrant, structured species. The balustrades were also given a green upgrade, now richly covered in fresh, cascading greenery. Elsewhere in the centre, bohemian planters add warmth and a playful touch to the space.
The result
The result is a vibrant shopping centre where visitors feel welcome. The addition of plants not only makes the space more visually appealing, but also contributes to a more relaxed shopping experience. Woonhart now breathes atmosphere and nature – a place where people want to linger.
