A fresh and rugged starting point

When Stichting Achterhoek Toerisme moved into their new location in Doetinchem, their vision was clear: an interior that reflects the character of the Achterhoek region. Studio Cherelle created the overall design and invited us to bring the greenery to life. Our challenge? To complement the existing colour palette and translate the atmosphere of ‘welcoming, fresh, rugged, bold, open, refined and vibrant’ into interior landscaping.

Green accents with a bold edge

We chose to work with plant groupings and robust planters with a textured Oyster finish, reinforcing the rugged identity of the space. In areas with an already colourful interior, we introduced black concrete pots (Grigio) to create contrast and visual calm. Natural polystone containers added a lighter touch and enhanced the fresh and accessible look. Large-leaved plants took centre stage – a deliberate choice to make a strong visual impact in the open layout of the office.

Balancing experience and function

Alongside freestanding plant clusters, we installed a Prestige Divider – a green room divider that naturally separates the printer area. Through the strategic placement of greenery, the space has transformed into a dynamic and lively working environment, echoing the identity of the region.
